Meet Our Instructors
John Hopkins Jr.
John D. Hopkins Jr is an active duty U.S. Navy military diver. As a Master Chief, Master Diver, stationed at Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit One in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, he is responsible for the training of five diving and salvage detachments and brings over 30 years of diving experience with SCUBA, rebreathers and surface supplied diving across multiple platforms.
A former instructor at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City Beach, having taught multiple diving subjects and techniques.
Mr. Hopkins is a Scuba Educators International Instructor Trainer, and specializes in antique surface supplied diving equipment. Additionally he teaches a Recreational Standard Navy Dress course as well as SCUBA.
